Liard River Hot Springs Provincial Park

After our stay at Muncho Lake Provincial Park, we headed to Liard River Hot Springs Provincial Park, and it was one of the highlights of the trip. The drive wasn’t too long, around two hours, and the anticipation of soaking in my first natural hot springs kept us excited along the way.

Liard River Hot Springs is a true gem, hidden in the wilderness of northern British Columbia. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the lush greenery and the distinct smell of the hot springs. The park has a boardwalk that takes you through a beautiful, marshy forest to the hot springs, and the walk itself was a treat, surrounded by dense vegetation and the sounds of nature.

The hot springs were incredible. The upper pool was warm and inviting, with crystal-clear water and a serene atmosphere. It was the perfect way to relax and unwind after days of hiking and exploring. The natural setting made the experience even more special, as we soaked in the warm water while taking in the beautiful surroundings.

After a long soak, we explored the park a bit more. The area around the hot springs is home to diverse wildlife, and we even spotted a few animals along the way. It was fascinating to see how the warm water creates a unique ecosystem in the midst of the northern forest.
