Calgary, Canada

Driving from Theodore Roosevelt National Park to Calgary was an amazing trip. I got to use my passport for the first time, which was really exciting. Even though I was a bit nervous about crossing the border, it turned out to be much easier than I thought. The only thing that made me a little sad was that they didn’t stamp my passport, as I was hoping for a keepsake.

When I arrived in Calgary, the largest city in the Canadian province of Alberta, I was thrilled with my Airbnb. It had an incredible view of the city. Calgary is known for its beautiful skyline, lively arts scene, and as the gateway to the Canadian Rockies. The city has a mix of modern buildings, great food, and lots of parks. It even hosted the 1988 Winter Olympics!

After the long drive, I was desperate for a shower and ended up taking two in a row. I was so tired that I went to bed early.

The next morning, I woke up early and took a walk around a nearby park. I found a cool red bridge and saw Canadian geese in Canada, which was perfect. The squirrels were black, which was really interesting. Calgary’s streets were full of unique art and buildings. There were public art pieces and cool architecture everywhere. My morning ended with a visit to Namo Cafe Bistro, where I had the best coffee I’ve ever tasted.

Overall, Calgary welcomed me with its lively culture, friendly people, and beautiful scenery, making my first international trip unforgettable.
